About Lerato

Born and bred in Johannesburg, Ngoako Lerato Mannya has managed to build a name for herself that spans into everything she is passionate about.

A creative through and through – blogger, social media specialist, graphic designer – it was only in varsity that she was able to fully hone her understanding of what being a creative in totality means, and in how one can use their creativity to build a network that spanned widely locally, but cultivated the interests of many alike internationally. Growth led the two into two different directions, this has as a result seen Lerato’s social media career combine her talent for copywriting, key understanding of target demographics and communication which led to her working for brands spanning from Audi South Africa, Various Distell brands, to McDonalds South Africa, and is now currently the social media manager at Cell C working on both brand and product, black.

A journey to the heart of the globe.

Lerato is the founder of Motherland Connect, a travel business established to connect the lives and expose experiences of South Africa to young black African’s and African American’s.

The business has to date seen over 400 African American’s make their journey to experience South Africa.
