As we celebrate International Women’s Day under the theme #BalanceForBetter, let’s not forget to acknowledge divas who continue to accelerate gender balance in the entertainment sector. To shine the light on these phenomenal stars, premium entertainment platform blackhas put together a great movie line up for you in the month of March.

I’ve spent the last week realizing that even though I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day – we’ll get into this another time, I am big on love. Love in all aspects, from friendship, to sibling love, parental love and everything in between. I also realized while scrolling through black that most of the movies I watch have some love plot of some sort to it. I guess in a way I love, love and that’s honestly something that makes me happy.
Since I know a lot of people may not necessarily be big on Valentine’s day but …

Venom is a comic-book movie cut from a different bolt of cloth.
While it centres on a Marvel (anti-)hero, and it’s both peppered with witty dialogue and shot through with eye-popping action, it’s a good deal darker than a lot of other superhero films. Unlike Iron Man, Cap and Spidey, Venom isn’t interested in capturing villains – he’d rather just bite their heads off… literally. In spirit, humour and flying body parts, Venom is closer to Deadpool than The Avengers.
Venom tells the story of investigative journalist Eddie Brock, a neurotic, twitchy loser who’s looking into the activities …

I remember being with someone for so long that he was all I knew. I had loved him for so long and it seemed like our lives together had been the only way to live. For a very long time, I was so engulfed in that relationship that nothing else mattered… including my sanity.
It took me almost 3 years to walk away from a relationship I knew had ended a long time ago, I didn’t want the relationship to fail, so even with all the slight changes I made it a point to give my ALL. This …

If you’re black and young, particular facts face you, no matter what background you are from, even beyond the scope of your material conditions; the wealth gap between you and your white counterparts widens as you get older and the social implications that bear the brunt are undeniable.
This was proven in a 2018 study that tracked black men in America who were born between 1978 to 1983. The realities between black South Africans and African Americans may differ somewhat but similarities can’t be overlooked. Yes, in South Africa black faces occupy political power, we are the majority …

I’ve often told people that I accidentally fell into social media but nobody ever actually believes me. I think maybe people get the feeling that I always knew what I wanted to do even before there was a name for it, and although that may be true for Graphic Design – it wasn’t true about social media, at least not for me.
I began dabbling in social media way back in the days of Prodigits, at first – I had no idea what I was getting into but I knew that I spent an awful amount of time …

I’ve always heard stories about women meeting men on vacation and having the most life altering sex or falling in love on vacation. I never understood it, I mean I knew it was always something that was possible but I could never really grasp how that happens, how you meet someone and are so caught up in a romantic setting that your feelings for them develop so quickly.
I guess, that’s also because I never actually went out of my way to meet someone while vacationing, it was never a goal for me because vacations for me have …

The purpose of this article is not to excuse or justify any illegal sexual behavior or blame those who have been victims of these situations. The purpose is to explain why these experiences occur and come up with solutions to prevent them from happening. The first thing we need to do is properly describe what we are discussing in this article. The activity we are referring to is properly called ephebophilia which is defined as being attracted to people who have just entered puberty typically ages 15-19.
